Information checked on 3 October 2026 against the organiser's website; the organiser's information prevails.

Exhibitek Displays is an independent stand builder: not the organiser of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week and not one of its official contractors. The name and logo belong to Fira de Barcelona.

Who visits a stand at Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week

Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, or BBFW, is organised by Fira de Barcelona with the support of the Catalan government. The week opens with runway shows, then the trade show takes over Halls 1, 2 and 8 of the Montjuïc venue, by Plaça d’Espanya.

The trade show admits professionals only: buyers, retailers, designers, distributors and the press, never consumers. Collections cover brides, grooms, cocktail and eveningwear, first communion and accessories, and many exhibiting brands travel from abroad.

A bridal stand is a showroom first: space for dresses to hang and turn, light that shows ivory and white without a colour cast, mirrors, a quiet order table and garment bags out of sight. We fix that layout before any finish, as on all our custom-built exhibition stands.

Engineering notes for a Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week stand

Power for lighting. Fira supplies all power, and a Catalan-authorised electrician certifies each stand; installers from other EU countries register first, and non-EU teams hand the switchboard to Fira or a locally certified electrician. Up to 50 kW needs a technical report and wiring diagram, above that an engineer’s stamped project. Boards have a main breaker and 30 mA protection on circuits under 32 A, fixed 1 to 1.8 m high.

The halls. Floors in Halls 1, 2 and 8 take 5,000 kg/m². Hall 2’s clear height changes from zone to zone, so the plot is checked before any tall element is drawn.

Rigging. Only Fira’s rigging service installs points, ordered through Servifira with a CAD drawing; nothing hangs from the roof itself. Points sit at least 1 m apart, take up to 150 kg each, hoist included, and stay within 15 kg per square metre, with truss no higher than 7 m. Mixed structures are banned: a hung element may not rest on, or be tied to, anything on the floor.

Climate. A stand’s own air-conditioning unit needs Fira’s approval and must vent outside the hall.

Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week stand rules to plan for

BBFW’s participation rules, in Fira’s exhibitor area, prevail; these points come from Fira’s technical regulations for Montjuïc.

  • Height. Up to 5 m where the hall height and the stand’s proportions allow it and neighbours’ views stay clear. Anything taller is a complex structure, and the event’s participation rules may set a different limit.
  • Double decks. Fira organises BBFW, so an upper floor may cover at most half the stand and must not block neighbours’ views. Closed rooms underneath need a professional smoke-detection system.
  • Complex structures. Stands over 5 m, freestanding elements over 4 m without three bracing planes, accessible upper floors, platforms or stages from 50 cm and tiered seating need a signed project with CTE calculations. The technician, with liability cover of at least €600,000, supervises the build and hands Fira a solidity certificate before opening.
  • Fire class. Walls and ceilings C-s2,d0, floor coverings EFL, hanging textiles Class 1 under UNE-EN 13773, each backed by a laboratory certificate under five years old. Straw, shavings, paper and dry leaves are banned as decoration, so dried botanical styling is checked early.
  • Ceilings. Never fully closed, and permeable ones are recommended. Closed sections need CE smoke detectors, at least one per 60 square metres; textile mesh with openings of at least 2 × 4 or 3 × 3 mm is exempt.
  • Walls and floor. No use of a neighbour’s walls, stand backs finished, everything self-supporting. Platforms rise no more than 18 cm, and nothing is drilled, glued, painted or nail-gunned into the hall. The venue sets no open-side rule, so BBFW’s participation rules decide.

Summary of the venue's technical rules, Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc Technical Regulations (opens in a new tab) (Fira de Barcelona, August 2026 version), consulted on 3 October 2026. The current version prevails.

Send us your floor plan: we check it against the venue and event rules.

From plot confirmation to opening day

  1. Plot confirmed. BBFW’s timetable and deadlines are in your exhibitor area; we work from them alongside the Montjuïc regulations and agree heights and open sides with you.
  2. Stand project to Fira. At events Fira runs itself, an exhibitor with its own builder sends the layout, elevations and details to Fira’s Operations Department for approval before build-up, in English, Spanish or Catalan.
  3. About two weeks before build-up. Electrical service lines, water, drainage and compressed air are ordered and paid through Servifira; later orders are not guaranteed. Catering not supplied by Fira needs its food-hygiene documents 15 working days before service.
  4. The last days. A private security team needs its form filed 48 hours ahead, and packaging leaves the halls 24 hours before opening: anything without an official label is treated as waste.
  5. Build-up. Personal passes for everyone, nobody under 16, safety shoes, gloves and goggles, hard hats under a double deck and no private cars inside. Extra hours are requested from the Hall Manager before noon on the day. Our stand production and on-site build page shows how our crews work.
  6. Breakdown. Waste leaves daily, through Servifira or our own means, and the space is returned clean, carpet tape included. Outdoor night work is restricted on Mèxic and Rius i Taulet, the streets beside Hall 2.

How we shape your bridal showroom at BBFW

Built around the looks

Rails, mannequin plinths, mirrors and a private appointment corner, shown in 3D first.

A format that frames the collection

An inline plot needs one strong frontage; a corner or island lets buyers walk through.

Montjuïc logistics handled

Passes, Servifira orders, waste and a crew on the plot from the first build-up day.

BBFW questions

Questions bridal brands ask about a BBFW stand

Can we play music on our Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week stand?

Yes, quietly. Fira’s rules keep stand sound within 3 dB of the hall’s background level and never above 60 dB, and logos may not be projected beyond the stand.

How do collections from outside the EU reach Fira Montjuïc?

Through the venue’s trade-fair customs office, with T1 transit papers or an ATA carnet. Fira names Resa Expo Logistics as its provider for this, and we time deliveries around clearance.

Can a BBFW stand include a closed showroom or fitting room?

Yes. A space at least 70% enclosed counts as a room: under 50 people it needs no extra documents, from 50 people a signed project, with more checks as capacity grows. Doors serving more than 50 people open outwards with panic bars.

Can we offer cava or snacks to buyers on our BBFW stand?

Yes. Fira’s own catering is the simplest route; with another caterer, the food-hygiene paperwork reaches Fira at least 15 working days before the service starts.

Can our own security staff guard the stand at BBFW?

Yes. If you do not use Fira’s security service, the private-surveillance form must reach Fira at least 48 hours ahead. Budgets, lead times and stand formats are answered in our exhibitor FAQ.
