Stands at BEC Bilbao
Exhibition stand builder in Bilbao
As an exhibition stand builder in Bilbao, we design, build and dismantle stands at BEC, the Bilbao Exhibition Centre in Barakaldo, for industrial fairs such as BIEMH and Subcontratación. Machines, compressed air and floor loads go into the plan from the first drawing.
- Machine weights planned into the layout
- Builder authorisation filed on time
- Crews on site from build-up

BEC: the Bilbao Exhibition Centre and its industrial fairs
The Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) stands in Ansio, Barakaldo, in the Bilbao metropolitan area. It has six large halls; one of them, the Bizkaia Arena, is also fitted out for concerts and shows. Offices, meeting rooms and lecture halls line the atrium that connects the halls.
Getting there
Metro Bilbao line 2 serves Ansio station, which has an exit at the centre’s north entrance. Trucks and vans follow the access plan set for each fair.
Fairs held there
BEC is a hub for industry. Its calendar includes BIEMH, the international machine tool biennial, which can take all six halls with machines running on the stands; Subcontratación (industrial subcontracting and supplies); ADDIT3D (additive manufacturing); Industry Tools by Ferroforma (industrial tools and supplies); Maintenance (industrial maintenance); and BeDIGITAL (digital industry).
Rules to plan for
BEC’s participation rules are specific. The exhibitor must authorise its stand builder through the fair’s online exhibitor area before work starts, and the venue charges builders a build-up fee based on stand type, size and working hours. The stand plan must show where power, compressed air, water and drainage are needed. Hanging structures need prior approval from BEC’s technical services, drilling or fixing into floors, walls and columns is not allowed, and vehicle time inside the grounds is limited during loading.
What we build in Bilbao
Stands for machines, demonstrations and technical buyers
Industrial fairs put working machines on the stand. The stand has to carry them, feed them and still leave room to talk business.

Custom stands around machinery
Layouts built around machine footprints, weights and safety distances, with viewing areas and a quieter meeting space.

Technical design and services plan
Drawings that place every power, compressed-air, water and drainage point, ready for BEC’s deadlines.

Coordinated build-up
Stand build and machine installation scheduled as one plan, so neither crew waits for the other.

How we work at BEC
- Rules and machines. We read BEC’s rules and the fair’s manual, and list every machine with its footprint, weight and supply needs.
- Layout and services plan. The stand plan shows power, compressed air, water and drainage, and reaches BEC before its deadline.
- Authorisation and safety. You authorise us in the exhibitor area; we file our crew’s safety documents and name our site safety lead.
- Production. Every element is produced and checked before it travels.
- Build-up with machine installers. Stand build and machine installation run to one schedule, with heavy machines on anti-vibration mounts where possible.
- Show days. Your project manager stays reachable for any adjustment.
- Dismantling. We clear the plot within the window and take all our materials away.
Bilbao questions
Hiring an exhibition stand builder in Bilbao: common questions
Can our stand carry heavy machines at BIEMH?
Yes, if the machines are planned in from the start. We need footprints, weights and supply needs early, and we coordinate the stand build with your machine installers.
Who registers the stand builder at BEC?
You do, as the exhibitor, through the fair’s online exhibitor area. We send you the details to enter and prepare our crew’s safety documents.
Are there fees for stand builders at BEC?
Yes. BEC charges a build-up fee that depends on the stand type, its size and the working hours. We include it in our quote, so there are no surprises.
Do we need compressed air or special power?
Only if your machines need them. Either way, the positions go on the stand plan sent to BEC, and late requests may not be guaranteed.
Can we hang a banner from the hall ceiling?
Possibly. Hanging structures need prior approval from BEC’s technical services, so we request it well before build-up and design the stand to work either way.
How do our staff get to BEC?
By Metro Bilbao line 2 to Ansio, which has an exit at the centre’s north entrance. More practical answers are in our exhibition stand FAQ.
